Our Story
Printer's Ink stared in the garage of company founder's Ingrid (Inky) and Forrest (Jake) Knapp back in (edit 196??) as a Type Set Service. The business quickly changed and grew as advancements in printing technology improved. Printer's Ink became one of the top print shops in Woodland and surrounding areas with help of their skilled staff including their son Jerry Knapp and moved to the current location in (edit 198/9?).
When his parents were ready to retire in (edit 200?) they handed the reigns over to Jerry who has carried the company into the digital age. Adapting with the times Jerry has continued with the company's core values of quality, great service and fair pricing.
As the need for physical printing changed Jerry knew he had to do something to remain a competitive business. In (edit 2013?) Printer's Ink joined forces with Embroidery by Cathy to continue to offer quality printing-but now on apparel too!
In 2018, Jerry's daughter Allie (Knapp) Sims joined the Printer's Ink team, specializing in Embroidery services. As Jerry prepares for his own retirement he has enlisted the help of Allie and her husband, Matt, to continue in the footsteps of Inky and Jake. Ushering in a new generation of Printer's Ink once again means changes on the horizon, but the dedication to great quality, friendly service and affordable pricing will remain our central goal for generations to come.
